Arkansas cruises past SW Baptist in final exhibition

Daniel Gafford scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 23 minutes to lead Arkansas to a 100-63 exhibition win over Southwest Baptist on Friday.

Gafford scored 10 of his 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds after halftime, and for the second consecutive week, the Razorbacks hung 60 points in the second half. Isaiah Joe added a game-high 19 points on 5 of 9 from 3-point range.

Shooting guard Mason Jones also had his best showing of the preseason on the offensive end with 17 points on 4 of 7 shooting and 7 of 8 at the free throw line. He tallied four steals as well. Jalen Harris and Desi Sills each finished the night with five assists in the win.

Defensively, Arkansas held the Bearcats to 33.3 percent from the floor and 6 of 24 from deep. Southwest Baptist committed 30 turnovers and two players had six or more. Seven Razorbacks recorded two-plus steals.
