Lindsey Rose Shindler and Daniel Jacob Weissman were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in Temple B'nai Israel. Rabbi Katie Bauman of Temple Israel, Memphis, officiated.
Julie and David Shindler of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Julianne and the late Dave Grundfest Jr. and the late Isolene and Alan Shindler, all also Little Rock.
The groom is the son of Drs. Barbara and Joseph Weissman of Atlanta. His grandparents are Gladys and the late Seymore Weissman of Buffalo, N.Y., the late May Burberick and the late Evelyn and Nathan Most, all of Palo Alto, Calif.
A wedding canopy was formed from birch trees draped with crushed ivory voile and the bride's family prayer shawl. Music was by the duo Eric & Happie of Tulsa.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore her maternal grandmother's silk-taffeta wedding gown with Alencon lace straps and a chapel train. Her chapel-length Belgium lace veil belonged to her paternal great-grandmother, Maurine Frauenthal Grundfest, and the veil was secured with a headdress of beaded pearls worn by her maternal great-grandmother, Rose Mae Dante. She carried a bouquet of burgundy scabosia, snapdragons and roses and green hydrangeas and protea.
Rachel Hope Arnold of Little Rock was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Bemberg and Allyson Pittman Gattin, both of Little Rock; Mary Colleen Connick and Riley Connick, both of New Orleans; Katie Dodson and Jaclyn Weiss, both of New York; Cara Greenstein of Memphis; Esther Schroeder of Fayetteville; and Anna Watkins of Dallas. They wore forest green velvet dresses in a variety of styles and carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet.
David Michael Weissman of Atlanta was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Callam and Spencer Lucker, both of Washington; Timothy Newton of Baltimore; Michael Dorrington of Toronto; Boyd Worley of Whiteville, N.C.; Christopher Halstead of Fairfield, Conn.; and Alexander Shindler of Memphis, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at Grandeur House. A long table for the wedding party was decorated with greenery garlands, tall candlesticks and glass hurricane shades. Round guest tables alternated tall and low arrangements of wedding flowers. Music was by Full House of Fayetteville.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in communications and Spanish from the College of Charleston and a post graduate degree from St. Mary's University, Twickenham, London. She works in content marketing for 2U Inc.
The groom has a bachelor's degree from Emory University where he was a seven-time NCAA All American and co-captain of the Emory Swim Team. He earned a law degree at Campbell University and is a lawyer with LexisNexis Group.
