Seven top Arkansas chefs helped celebrate the seventh year of Youth Home's The Next Course fundraiser Oct. 25 by creating seven gourmet courses for guests. The event was held at Ben E. Keith Foods Midsouth in North Little Rock.
The evening began with a wine reception in the lobby and the first course -- appetizers prepared by Ben E. Keith's chef Shane Henderson, which were shots of Ginger and Corn Soup topped with a Shrimp Crouton.
Other chefs participating were Amanda Leigh Ivy, Cody Rudd, Gilbert M. Alaquinez Jr., Scott Rains, Jamie McAfee and Anne Wood. Guests could watch chefs prepare each course and take home a booklet with the evening's recipes.
Money raised from the culinary event will provide greater security at Youth Home by funding the purchase of a new electronic lock system for the campus.Gallery: The Next Course fundraiser
