Men and women donned fancy masks -- making it hard to recognize some -- at Opus Ball XXXIV.

The event -- called Mystical. Musical. Masqued. Opus! -- was held Oct. 27 at the Marriott Hotel.

Debi Barnes and Elizabeth Andreoli chaired the beautiful, black-tie celebration to raise money for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

The evening featured a four-course meal that began with a mouth-watering seafood and red bean potage, followed by a pickled beet salad.

The dual entree included hay-smoked filet mignon and chervil marinated sea bass. The first three courses were paired with wine. Desserts featured white chocolate sweet potato pie and chocolate mousse with candied hazelnut.

The live auction included two jewelry packages ($9,500 and $8,000), a week in Los Cabos, Mexico ($5,500), and a dinner for 20 with award-winning tenor George Dyer ($5,000).

The Rodney Block Band played from 10 p.m. to midnight, allowing night owls to dance the night away.
