FISHING HOT SPOTS

LAKE NORFORK Striper fishing is excellent after 10 a.m. at 30 feet in Big Creek by the highway. Crappie fishing is excellent over deep brush piles with minnows and small spoons. Bass fishing is excellent all over the lake at Big Creek, Robinson Point, Float Creek and Panther Creek.

LAKE CONWAY Bass fishing is good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and large minnows. Crappie fishing is good on minnows and jigs. Catfishing is good with chicken liver, nightcrawlers and dough bait. Bream fishing is fair on redworms and crickets.

LAKE HAMILTON Bass are suspended at 10- to 15-feet over baitfish near main channels. Excellent schooling activity occurs at times. Target 20-foot depths on rocky high spots and submerged grassy areas with a football head jig or weighted tube. Crappie are biting minnows and jigs at 20 feet or deeper over brush piles or laydowns.
