The University of Arkansas will host an impressive list of prospects for the LSU game on Saturday headed up by four official visitors, but the list also includes several top juniors.
Junior running back Stacy Sneed, who's one of the top 2020 prospects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is high on the Hogs and plans to be one of the visitors.
"I really like the school," Sneed said. "Can't wait to get on a visit to Fayetteville and get an even better outlook of the place."
He said he's been communicating with Coach Chad Morris and quality control assistant Julian B. Griffin who's persuaded him to visit.
"They are saying they want me to come down and visit," Sneed said. "They treat me like I'm a part of the family and they just show a lot of love. That's how they convince me."
Sneed, 5-11, 175 pounds, 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Arlington (Texas) Mansfield Timberview rushed 66 times for 772 yards (11.7 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns prior to last week's game against Dallas Adams.
He also has 13 receptions for 310 yards (23.8 ypr) and 6 touchdowns. Sneed has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Arizona, Missouri and Houston.
Sneed has a time of 21.8 seconds in the 200 meters. He also has an impressive time in the 100 meters.
"I ran my freshman year and it was a 10.8 flat," Sneed said.
Weekend visitors
The Hogs are expected to host highly recruited cornerbacks Devin Bush and Greg Brooks for official visits this weekend along with junior college linebacker Lakia Henry and Arkansas defensive back commitment Malik Chavis of Rison.
Bush, 6-0, 187, of New Orleans Edna Karr is an ESPN 4-star prospect, No. 16 cornerback and the No. 219 overall prospect in the nation. Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Clemson are just some of his reported scholarship offers.
Brooks, 5-11, 175, of Harvey (La.) West Jefferson is a Mississippi State commitment and also an ESPN 4-star recruit.
Henry, 6-1, 225, of Dodge City (Kansas) Community College committed to Tennessee in May. He officially visited Knoxville last weekend. A Georgia native, Henry recorded 110 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and an interception as a freshman.
