$750 bonuses OK'd for district staffers

Jacksonville/North Pulaski School District teachers and most other district staffers will receive bonuses from the district this week.

The district's School Board approved the $750-per-person bonus at a meeting last week, Superintendent Bryan Duffie said.

The bonus will cost the district about $540,000, Duffie said. For teachers, the bonus comes in addition to the traditional step increase of $500 that eligible employees receive for their additional year of work experience -- if they have not reached the top of their salary schedule.
