On cooking channels these days, you are almost as likely to witness a James Beard Award-winning chef throw together a crusty Beef Wellington as you are to see an actor, musician or other celebrity host a cooking show where he or she shares recipes and tips for entertaining. Actresses Valerie Bertinelli and Patricia Heaton and country star Trisha Yearwood come to mind.

Another country star enters that realm at 11 a.m. today on Food Network, with the introduction of Martina's Table, a new series hosted by country music icon Martina McBride. On the show McBride will give viewers a glimpse of how she entertains at home. Her menus are inspired by her Midwestern roots as she cooks up dish after dish, including a full Thanksgiving menu at home, a Mexican-theme spread for a special birthday celebration, a casual holiday brunch with famous friends and more.

Viewers can go behind the scenes on Food Network's Facebook and Instagram pages. Plus you can find her recipes and videos at FoodNetwork.com/MartinasTable. Her new cookbook, Martina's Kitchen Mix: My Recipe Playlist for Real Life was released in October, as was her new Christmas album, It's the Holiday Season.
