The streak continues

While the rest of the country was wrapped up in Amazon's announcement that it'll be splitting its second headquarters between Virginia and New York, Walmart announced a continued streak of sales growth into its 11th straight quarter, pulling shoppers both into its stores and onto its website.

Sam Walton's legacy continues on in a company that has innovated over the last year with grocery pickup and even delivery options. The papers say Walmart, like other retailers, has benefited immensely from a strong economy and increased consumer confidence.

And Northwest Arkansas continues to benefit from having Walton jobs and money. It keeps growing like crazy, with home prices rising and developers adding more apartment complexes (and bike trails) every which way you look.

So as we enter the holiday shopping season with Black Friday and Cyber Monday in a few days, here's hoping our own retail giant continues to remind the competition what success looks like.
