Authorities: Arkansan beaten, robbed by strangers in home invasion

An Arkansan was hospitalized Tuesday night after he was hit in the head with a gun during a home invasion, authorities said.

According to a news release from the Jonesboro Police Department, the victim said he was alone in his residence when two strangers with handguns forced their way in through the back door. He told police they demanded his wallet but then asked for more money after he complied.

One of the robbers pistol-whipped the resident before the two fled with his wallet and Playstation 4, the release states.

Police said no arrests have been made at this time. No suspect information was provided.
