Robbed at gunpoint while trying to buy phone, central Arkansas woman tells police

A 35-year-old Sherwood woman was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night while meeting with a person she thought was going to sell her an iPhone, according to a police report.

The woman told authorities she had made the deal through the LetGo app and went to a Little Rock apartment complex around 7:30 p.m.

According to a report from the city's Police Department, she was told to go to the back of Barrington Hills Apartments, 1221 Reservoir Road, where a robber came up to her passenger's-side door, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The 35-year-old gave the gunman her money, and he ran away, authorities said.

According to police, a resident of the complex fit the robber’s description and had the same phone number as the LetGo user.

Police Department spokesman Lt. Michael Ford said no arrests had been made in the robbery as of Thursday afternoon.
