Little Rock man pointed gun at boy, police say

A Little Rock man was arrested Tuesday after pointing a loaded gun at a child playing in his grandfather's yard, according to court documents.

Officers arrested 32-year-old Brandon Stewart Burnett on Tuesday after he reportedly pointed a gun at a young boy on Aug. 1 because the boy was yelling too loud and "scaring his dogs," according to a warrant for Burnett's arrest.

The boy was reportedly playing in the front yard of his grandfather's home on Marshall Street when Burnett yelled at him for being too loud and then got a pistol, put a bullet in the chamber and pointed it at the child, according to court documents.

Officers arrested Burnett on a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening, according to an arrest report.
