Little Rock police: 28-year-old man struck by gunfire not sure where shooting occurred

A 28-year-old man who was shot in the leg Saturday told Little Rock police he wasn't sure where he was wounded.

Authorities were called to UAMS Medical Center at 4301 W. Markham St. shortly after 9 a.m.

According to a report from the city's Police Department, Cagney Pickett of Pine Bluff said he was not sure where the shooting took place, as he had been drinking. He told officers he remembered "gunshots, running, falling, cutting his left thumb" then driving home to Pine Bluff.

When he arrived home, he and his fiancee realized he had been shot, and they drove to UAMS, the report states. His injury was said to be non-life-threatening.

Authorities wrote that his 27-year-old fiancee said he was shot while in the parking lot of Envy Nightclub, 7200 Colonel Glenn Road. Officers noted that there was no shots-fired call from that area, and they were unable to locate a crime scene.

No suspects were named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
