Scott leads Arkansas Baptist to victory
Markell Scott rushed for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns as Arkansas Baptist College defeated Hocking College 19-6 on Sunday at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.
Scott’s touchdown runs of 6 and 3 yards in the second quarter gave the Buffaloes (6-1) a 19-0 lead at the half.
Orin Harris threw for 118 yards and a touchdown for Arkansas Baptist.

UALR shuts out ASU
Liesa Seifert, Arola Aparicio Gili and Fanney Einarsdottir scored for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in a 3-0 victory over Arkansas State University on Sunday at the Coleman Complex in Little Rock.
Sara Johannsdottir made three saves for the Trojans (10-3-2, 5-1-1 Sun Belt Conference). Morgan McClure had five saves for the Red Wolves (6-6-2, 3-4-0).
UCA tops Houston Baptist
Camille Bassett scored two goals to lead the University of Central Arkansas to a 3-1 victory over Houston Baptist on Sunday in Houston.
Bassett’s goals came in the eighth and 10th minutes. In addition, Connie Awuku-Darkoh scored in the 21st minute. Sabriah Spencer scored in the 56th minute for Houston Baptist (8-6-1, 6-1-1 Southland Conference).
Lauren Mercuri made two saves for Central Arkansas (12-3-1, 7-1-0).
UAPB blanks Prairie View
Karissa Fenwick scored in the 64th minute to give the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff a 1-0 victory over Prairie View A&M in Pine Bluff on Sunday.
Sariah Orocu made seven saves for UAPB (3-5-2, 3-2-2 SWAC). Quinn Josiah had 10 saves for Prairie View (5-9-1, 3-3-1).

ASU leads in Florida
Julien Sale shot a 68 in the first round of the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla., on Sunday in helping the Red Wolves to a first-round lead.
The Red Wolves shot a 279 and lead North Florida by one stroke.
Sale is tied with four players and trails South Florida’s Ryoto Furuya. ASU’s Zan Luka Stim is tied for sixth with a 69.
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is in seventh place with a 292. Marcel Rauch is tied for 11th with a 70.
WOMEN’S GOLF
UA’s Kim second in North Carolina
Dylan Kim of the University of Arkansas shot a final-round 70 and finished with a 209, four shots behind the medalist at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
As a team, the Razorbacks finished third with an 859 (285-287-287). Duke won the event with a 850 while Virginia was second with an 856.
