Two police officers who were hit by a stolen car in northwest Arkansas have been released from the hospital, authorities said Monday, adding that six people have now been arrested in the case.

According to a news release from the Springdale Police Department, officers Ashley Booth and Annelise Hoffman are at their homes recovering.

On Friday, both were struck by a stolen Nissan Altima while responding to a call about suspicious people in the 700 block of Woodridge Drive around 3:30 a.m., police previously said. According to the agency, when Booth approached the car, he was hit and thrown onto its hood. Hoffman was hit as the teens drove away.

Booth and Hoffman suffered head trauma and spinal injuries, according to a report from the prosecutor’s office that was released Friday afternoon.

That day, 18-year-old Arommon Luther of Springdale and three minors were arrested. All face two counts of first-degree battery, leaving the scene of an injury accident, theft of property, fleeing in a motor vehicle and fleeing on foot, according to a news release. Luther faces an additional four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

On Monday, police said they arrested two more teens: a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old. They face the same charges as the other four, except the 15-year-old has not been charged with fleeing.

None of the minors names have been released.
