Little Rock man faces car-theft, kidnapping charges

A Little Rock man threatened a woman at gunpoint and stole her car, according to arrest reports.

Police served Darius Butler, 20, with warrants Monday related to an earlier incident. Officers said Butler, accompanied by a friend, had forced his ex-girlfriend to drive to her sister's house at gunpoint.

When the woman jumped out and called for help, Butler and his friend drove away in the vehicle, a report said. Butler was charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and theft of property.

According to a Pulaski County online jail roster, Butler also faces charges of fleeing, reckless driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license, possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances, possession of instruments of crime and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Man, 27, accused of kicking officers

A Jacksonville man is accused of kicking two officers and biting one after punching his girlfriend in the face during an argument, according to an arrest report.

Officers responded Sunday to a disturbance call at 2613 E. Coffelt Road, where a woman told them her boyfriend, Daryl Wayne McLain, 27, had assaulted her because she refused to argue with him, the report said.

McLain kicked both officers and bit one of them while resisting arrest, the report said. One of the officers had to seek medical attention because of his right hand was injured, the report said.

After officers got McLain into the police car, he beat his head on the metal cage of the vehicle, according to the report.

McLain was in the Pulaski County county jail Tuesday evening in lieu of a $5,000 bond and faces charges of resisting arrest, fleeing, third-degree domestic battery and two counts of second-degree battery, according to the jail's roster.
