Ceci's Chicken and Waffles will open a second location in Little Rock in 2019, the owner said last week.
Owner Ciceley McDowell did not say where the new restaurant will be located or when it will be open when she announced the news Oct. 10 in a Facebook video.
The expansion comes after nearly three years in business. McDowell first opened in North Little Rock and moved to a larger space in Conway about a year-and-a-half later, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette previously reported.
McDowell said the Conway location on Dave Warren Drive will remain open when she brings her chicken and waffles to Little Rock, her hometown.
"I've always wanted to have at least two restaurants, so I'm super excited about it," she said in the video. "Little Rock was always going to be one that I had."
While the restaurateur is cutting night hours and will close at 3 p.m. in Conway beginning in November, the Little Rock location will likely be open later.
"2019 — we're trying to do it big. We're going to the bank. It's time," McDowell said.
