A Little Rock man stabbed a knife into a wall near a woman's head Tuesday during an argument, according to an arrest report.

A witness told officers she saw Marcus Denton, 37, threatening the mother of his child with a knife and then strike a wall near the woman's head, the report said.

Officers arrested Denton on a charge of felony aggravated assault of a family or household member and transported him to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Wednesday evening with no bail set.

Police: Kids in car, mom targets woman

A Little Rock resident with three children under 4 years old in her vehicle tried to run over a woman Tuesday night, police said.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Melissa Renee Watson about 8:30 p.m., according to a report from the city's Police Department.

An officer wrote that Watson drove onto the breezeway of Spanish Jon's Apartments, 5001 W. 65th St., in an attempt to run over the victim. The report states that three children were inside Watson's vehicle: a 10-month-old, a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old.

Police noted that Watson also threatened to cut the woman's throat and said the victim "would die before the night is over."

She faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Watson also had a warrant out for her arrest from the North Little Rock Police Department on a criminal mischief charge, a separate report shows.

Records show she remained at the Pulaski County jail Wednesday evening in lieu of $5,000 bond.
