Message of peace

Kahlifa of Islam again visits U.S.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the fifth Khalifa (or successor) of the Promised Messiah, landed in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, as a crowd of more than 2,000 Ahmadiyya Muslims greeted and welcomed him jubilantly. This is not the Khalifa's first tour of the United States of America. As the supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, he regularly visits his followers throughout the world to strengthen them in their faith and guide them to become the beacons of peace within the countries and communities they inhabit.

In June 2012, His Holiness visited the East Coast and delivered a keynote address at a special bipartisan reception on Capitol Hill. In his address, the Khalifa asserted, "The truth is that peace and justice are inseparable -- you cannot have one without the other ... Yet, in general, there is little doubt that restlessness and anxiety is increasing in the world and so disorder is spreading. This clearly proves, that somewhere along the line, the requirements of justice are not being fulfilled."

He put forward the guidance provided by Quran, "... that the people of all nationalities and all races are equal. And that all people should be granted equal rights without any discrimination or prejudice. This is the key and golden principle that lays the foundation for harmony between different groups and nations and for the establishment of peace."

The Khalifa of Peace has taken his message of peace to the European parliament, German military headquarters, Dutch National Parliament, British House of Commons and to the Canadian parliament in recent years. He has delivered messages to the presidents and prime ministers through personal envoys, and to Pope Benedict XVI and the Archbishop of Canterbury, promoting Islamic principles for the establishment of lasting peace between nations and religions of the world.

On this visit, the Khalifa will inaugurate a new Ahmadiyya mosque in Philadelphia, where the first Ahmadiyya missionary, Mufti Muhammad Sadiq, established a flourishing community of Muslims in the 1920s. The Khalifa will also travel to Houston, where he will meet thousands of Ahmadiyya Muslim families. He will also travel to Guatemala to inaugurate Nasir Hospital, which was built by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA, and its humanitarian welfare organization, Humanity First, USA, to serve mankind without distinction of cast and creed.

We welcome the Khalifa of Islam, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, to the United States and recognize his constant endeavors and commitment to bring about world peace.
