Tulsa owes Jeff Long big time. Long, who was fired as the University of Arkansas athletic director last year, gave the University of Tulsa almost $1.4 million to make a two-hour bus ride, tangle with the Razorbacks a little bit and then make the return trip home.

While you're kicking Jeff Long, don't forget a swipe or two at Bielema.

    No class.

It's the folks on the Board of Trustees (along with a bunch of fans) who insisted on throwing Long out with Bielema that should be kicking themselves. Bielema needed to be fired, not Long; if Long had stayed we'd have an SEC-caliber coach now (though still a difficult season). As it is, we now have an AD & coach more suited for Fayetteville High.

Wally hates Jeff Long because Long has ties to The Ohio State University. But I don't get the hate for Long either. His hires, with the sole exception of John Smith, were GOOD hires. Bielema was coming off 3 Rose Bowl appearances and 2 Big Ten championships. In hindsight, Alvarez was clearly the mastermind. But at the time Bielema was a big time successful coach from a big time school. Morris looks like he doesn't have a f'n clue as evidenced by his continued mishandling of the QBs.

The Red Wolves could have made that bus trip and the $1.4 Million would have stayed in the state of Arkansas.

Generalmac, I agree with you. But, the Red Wolves probably would have beaten the Hogs and that would have been real embarrassing.

@Gardenhire...I don't live in NE Ark and I'm not an ASU fan. Just want a decent sports section rather than one that continues to blow smoke about the University of NW Arkansas, the so-called flagship institution that is nothing more than a mid-major. Lose the CAPS while you're at it, as it just demonstrates stupidity.
