GREENWOOD 42, SHERIDAN 14
SHERIDAN -- Quarterback Peyton Holt passed for 204 yards, but Greenwood (8-1, 6-0 6A-West) scored 4 rushing touchdowns and its defense added 2 more in a victory over Sheridan (2-7, 1-5).
Luke Leonard and Hunter Wilkinson scored on runs of 6 and 4 yards in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs built a 21-0 first-quarter lead on Gunner Perkins' interception return.
Holt scored on runs of 9 and 8 yards in the second quarter to make it 35-0 at halftime.
Sheridan scored on Alden Lucas' 20-yard run to make it 35-7, but Greenwood added another defensive score on Eli Martin's fumble return for a 42-7 fourth-quarter lead.
Sheridan completed the scoring on Trace Watkins' 3-yard touchdown run with 20 seconds to play.
