NomNomNow

What’s to love: Food that’s made to order and home delivered for a favorite four-legged family member. My dachshund Luke was a big fan of the chicken recipe.

What does it do: NomNomNow is a pet-food service that creates meals for dogs and cats using all-natural human-grade ingredients. Pet owners fill out a profile on their pet including age, weight and activity level and then how often they want the food delivered — once a week, or every two or four weeks. They then choose a beef, chicken, turkey or pork recipe and the company will quote a price. The food is designed to be given to a pet twice a day and is in portioned packages. Food arrives in boxes with two large ice packs on each side of the food and nestled in insulated material. Prices start at about $20 a week but depend on the pet’s profile. More information is at nomnomnow.com.
