Arkansas man electrocuted in canal dealing with cognitive, memory problems, wife says

OKLAHOMA CITY — The wife of an Arkansas man electrocuted in an Oklahoma City canal while trying to save another man's life says her husband is suffering cognitive and memory problems.

The accident happened Sept. 30 when 31-year-old Brandon Gann of Van Buren was shocked while trying to rescue 23-year-old Wesley Seeley of Tuttle from a Bricktown entertainment district canal.

Seeley was electrocuted when he tried to pull himself up by wires from a broken light, and Gann was hospitalized.

Gann's wife, 25-year-old Taylor Gann, told The Oklahoman he's communicating with family but is dealing with cognitive problems and how the accident happened.

An attorney for the Ganns, Dan Smolen of Tulsa, says conditions around the canal were "highly dangerous" and the Ganns are trying to find out exactly what happened.
