Man dies after suffering heart attack, driving truck into ditch along Arkansas highway, authorities say

A Missouri man died Sunday morning in a wreck after suffering a heart attack while driving a truck in Franklin County, authorities said.

Gregory Kassner, 57, was driving a Volvo truck north on Arkansas 186 shortly before 7:30 a.m. when he had a heart attack, Franklin County Coroner Shelby Floyd said. As Kassner approached a sharp corner, his truck crossed the centerline and drove into a ditch, Floyd said.

Floyd said Kassner died from the heart attack.

Conditions were described as dry and clear at the time of the crash, a report stated.

At least 405 people have died on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary information.
