Police identify 2 killed in shooting in south Arkansas

Authorities have identified two people killed in a shooting early Sunday morning in south Arkansas.

The El Dorado Police Department said officers responded about 12:30 a.m. to shots fired at a residence on White Quarters. They reportedly found the front door open and heard a woman’s voice inside the residence calling for help. Inside, victims were found in various rooms.

Darrishica Rogers, 30, of North Little Rock and Aric Hall, 28, of El Dorado were fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsies are pending.

Marquesha Young, 26, and Remonda Caver, 29, both of El Dorado, were injured and remained hospitalized on Wednesday, said Capt. Kevin Holt, spokesman for the El Dorado Police Department.

A suspect, Jacovis Dejon James, 23, of El Dorado, is wanted on a felony warrant charging him with two counts of capital murder, two counts of attempted capital murder, aggravated robbery and an enhanced penalty for felon with a firearm, Holt said

Police said the vehicle James was believed to be in on the night of the shooting has already been located.
