A man was shot in the face in North Little Rock on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
North Little Rock Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Amy Cooper said officers were dispatched shortly after 3:30 p.m. to a unit of an apartment complex located 662 E. 19th St.
There, officers found a man who had been shot in his face, according to a statement. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but the extent of his injury was not released. Authorities did not name the victim.
Police did not know who the shooter was as of Friday evening, Cooper said, adding that officers believe "there is no current threat to the public."
