Woman found hurt; NLR man charged

A North Little Rock man was arrested on accusations that he slashed a woman's tires, smashed her cellphone, assaulted her and threatened to kill her at knife point Friday, according to police reports.

Officers arrested Donald Ray Randle, 55, after being called to a disturbance and finding a woman whose face was "bruised, swelling and had several small cuts" on it, an arrest report said.

The woman told officers that Randle thought she had taken his bank card and attacked her with his fists and a kitchen knife.

Randle told officers the woman had pepper-sprayed him and pointed a gun at him, but officers found no evidence of pepper spray or any handgun. A kitchen knife was at the scene, officers said.

Randle faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, third-degree domestic battery, public intoxication, obstruction of government operations and disorderly conduct.

Gunshot in facehospitalizes man

A man was shot in the face in North Little Rock on Friday afternoon at an apartment complex, authorities said.

Sgt. Amy Cooper, North Little Rock Police Department spokesman, said officers were dispatched shortly after 3:30 p.m. to an apartment complex at 662 E. 19th St.

Officers found a man who had been shot in his face, according to a statement. He was taken to a hospital, but the extent of his injury was not released. Authorities did not name the victim.

Police do not know who the shooter was, Cooper said.

Suspect arrestedin LR bank holdup

The man suspected of robbing a Centennial Bank on Thursday was booked into the Pulaski County jail, according to a Little Rock police report.

Owen Lamar Hogans, a 56-year-old homeless man, is accused of walking into the bank at 718 Broadway and handing a teller a note that demanded money, according to an arrest report. Officers said he left the bank on foot but was caught shortly afterward.

Police said Thursday's robbery was similar to a Sept. 5 robbery at a Bank OZK in Little Rock, and they believe the two robberies could be connected.

Witnesses say momfired gun from car

A Little Rock woman is accused of firing a pistol at three people Thursday while she had her 7-year-old and 8-year-old children in the car, according to a police report.

Candayce T. Tabron, 32, was arrested in the 2000 block of Main Street minutes after three people said she fired a pistol at them, according to police reports. Officers said they found a used shell casing on Tabron during her arrest.

Tabron faces two charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, two charges of aggravated assault and two charges of unlawful discharge from a vehicle.

VA co-worker facessex-assault charge

A North Little Rock Veterans Affairs employee was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of sexually assaulting another employee, according to court documents.

Pulaski County deputies arrested Alfonso Clark, 61, after an employee said Clark walked up to her, grabbed her ponytail and her breast and forcibly kissed her, court documents said.

The woman told officers with the Veteran Affairs Police Service that she asked Clark why he did that and he replied that he "just had to do it."

Clark's arrest report lists the two people as co-workers.

Clark faces a felony charge of second-degree sexual assault.
