Spins: The Big Dam Bridge 100 -- which calls itself Arkansas' Largest Cycling Tour -- will draw thousands of cyclers from across the world to central Arkansas for ride lengths ranging from 15 to 100 miles. The Big Dam Bridge Expo with registration and packet pickup is 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Statehouse Convention Center with an athletes' reception, 6-8 p.m. at the Old State House Museum. The ride begins at 6:50 a.m. Sept. 29 at Riverfront Drive and Willow Street in North Little Rock and ends at Riverfront Park in North Little Rock, where spectators are welcome and food trucks will be handy. Spooks: The Little Rock Zoo's annual creepfest, Boo at the Zoo, returns, 6-9 p.m. Oct. 24-27 and 29-31. Regular festivities include the haunted house, hay maze, dancing, costume contests, games and a carnival. Admission in advance is $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers, with prices increasing by $5 at the gate.
