New Eagle Scouts

NEW EAGLE SCOUTS

Andrew Marecki, 18, is the son of John and Sara Marecki of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 395 in Little Rock at St. James United Methodist Church. Andrew designed and constructed a 22 ft. pedestrian bridge on the River Mountain Trail in the Walton Heights Neighborhood.

Andrew Garrett, 18, is the son of Wesley and Karen Garrett of Benton. He is a member of Troop 55 in Little Rock at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Andrew led a team of six other Scouts who repainted the apparatus bay back-up lines and improved the landscaping of the Crystal Fire Department on Lawson Road.

Parker Lee, 18, is the son of Jon and Leisa Lee of Rogers. He is a member of Troop 81 in Rogers at Central United Methodist Church. Parker designed and built an entry ramp for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Rogers, to assist patrons using shopping carts.

Carson Gregory, 14, is the son of Chad and Carmen Gregory of England. He is a member of Troop 205 in Cabot at Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71. Carson led his troop in the construction of picnic tables for Cabot United Methodist Church.

Noah Wilson, 17, is the son of Rob and Lisa Wilson of Sherwood. He is a member of Troop 427 in North Little Rock. Noah rebuilt four bicycle bridles at the Camp Robinson Biking Trail Complex to improve trail quality and safety.

Timothy Loftness, 18, is the son of Rich and Diane Loftness of Conway. He is a member of Troop 99 in Little Rock at Grace Church. Timothy planned, organized, and constructed a utility shed for Four Winds Church.

James Philip Swaim, 18, is the son of Anna and Edward Swaim of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7 in Little Rock at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. James built an enclosure for the permanent installation of a telescope at the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society's Observatory in Perry County.

Thomas Abshire, 18, is the son of Chucky and Ann Abshire of East End. He is a member of Troop 108 in Hensley at East End Baptist Church. Thomas constructed a concrete handicap ramp at the East End ballpark, for easier access to the restrooms.

Andrew Nathan Shields, 18, is the son of William Lane Shields and Linda McCargo of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7 in Little Rock at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Andrew refurbished the outdoor recreation area at St. Francis House, a re-entry program for homeless veterans. This included building benches, patching the fence, rebuilding horseshoe pits, trimming trees and shrubs, and removing a playground structure to a family development center.

Ben Davis, 16, is the son of Tom and Laura Davis of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 99 in Little Rock at Grace Church. Ben, the ninth Eagle Scout in the Davis family, designed a safety fence to line the banks of the creek running through Allsopp Park and led a team of friends and fellow Scouts in building it.
