Police: Car exiting I-30 hits parked truck; 24-year-old Arkansas woman dies

A 24-year-old Arkansas woman was killed Thursday night when her car struck a parked tractor-trailer while exiting Interstate 30, authorities said.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. as Miranda Woody of Greenbrier drove a 2006 Nissan Sentra west onto the exit ramp for Arkansas 84 in Malvern, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Police say the Sentra hit a parked tractor-trailer on the off-ramp. Woody died at the scene.

The report didn't specify if the truck was on the shoulder or in the lane on the off-ramp. A police spokesman said Friday that an investigative report was not yet complete.

No other injuries were reported.

Conditions at the time were listed as clear and dry.

At least 356 people have died in crashes on Arkansas roads so far this year.
