Authorities in Arkansas on Monday said they have identified two male minors as "persons of interest" in the shooting of a high schooler who was found crawling on a road earlier this month.

According to a news release from the Garland County sheriff's office, the pair were arrested on unrelated warrants Friday.

The 16-year-old victim was found crawling across Housley Point Road on Sept. 13 and had been shot multiple times, authorities previously said.

The youths, who were not named, were being held at the Garland County juvenile detention center Monday morning.
