Authorities in Little Rock are investigating three separate armed robberies at or outside local businesses over the weekend.
A 53-year-old Sherwood man told investigators he was robbed of his Lexus LS 430 by an individual who approached him at 500 W. Roosevelt Road, which is the listed address for a Shark's Fish & Chicken.
According to a report from the city's Police Department, the victim arrived there about 1:40 p.m. Saturday and was met by the robber, who had a gun in his pocket. The gunman demanded the keys to the car and drove off in the Lexus. Police later recovered the stolen vehicle and returned it to the owner, though the assailant wasn't arrested.
A detailed description of the robber wasn't listed on the report.
Around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, a black male wearing a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants and a black hat pulled out a gun and robbed the Family Dollar at 4514 W. 12th St of $130.
The holdup happened after a worker first told the assailant he couldn't wear a hoodie in the store, an officer noted. But the warning prompted a glare from the robber, and the worker "relented and didn't pursue the hoodie issue," police said.
Then Sunday, the Church's Chicken at 1500 John Barrow Road was robbed shortly before 2 p.m. by a black male with a blue bandanna over his face who jumped the counter, placed a handgun to the back of a worker and demanded "all the money," according to a separate report.
The robber forced the manager to open the safe, the report states, before he ran out the back of the restaurant. He was said to stand about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weigh around 180 pounds and was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
No arrests were made in any of the cases, and it wasn't immediately clear if investigators believed any of them to be related.
