North Lonoke County Retired Educators Meeting

CABOT — The North Lonoke County Retired Educators will have their fall meeting at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, 4100 Arkansas 89 S. Mary Alice Hughes and Lisa Bamburg from Insurance Advantage will update attendees on their insurance. This will be a potluck lunch meeting, so bring a favorite dish to share, as well as nonperishables for the food pantry.

Fish Fry Fundraiser

CABOT — Tri-Community Fire Station No. 1 will offer a fish fry from 4-6:30 p.m. featuring catfish, chicken and all the trimmings, plus dessert and a drink. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. The station is at Arkansas 321 East and Bear Road in Lonoke County, southeast of Cabot. OktoberFest at the Bay

FAIRFIELD BAY – The fifth annual OktoberFest at the Bay will begin at 3 p.m. at the Fairfield Bay Conference and Visitor Center with authentic German treats and drinks, traditional oom-pah-pah music, and lots of activities for kids and adults. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

HORSESHOE BEND — The Knights of Columbus of Horseshoe Bend will sponsor a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser from 7:30 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s Church Hall, First and Church streets. The menu will include pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and coffee or juice. A donation of $7 is requested. Proceeds will benefit the Community Christmas Basket Project to help families in Izard County.

Vocal Recital

SEARCY — Vocalists Sydney Kern and Lizzy Tripp will give a recital at 2 p.m. in the Reynolds Center Recital Hall at Harding University. The performance is free and open to the public.

Searcy Lions Club

SEARCY — The Searcy Lions Club meets at noon every Tuesday on the second floor of the Heritage Building on the Harding University campus. The Lions Club raises funds for eye care and eye glasses for White County residents who otherwise could not afford such care. New members are always welcome. Art Exhibit

Feed the Veterans

CABOT — Feed the Veterans, a veterans food pantry at 214 Rainbow Drive, is open the third Saturday of each month. The pantry, which lets veterans shop for the items and amounts they need, serves military veterans, their spouses and children younger than 18. Retirees, guardsmen and reservists are welcome. Fairfield Bay Farmers Market

FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays through October at the Village Mall Gazebo. Ghost of Davidsonville Fall Festival
