Wedding vows were exchanged by Catherine Foster Hopkins and James Wallace Tidwell at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church with the Rev. John Marconi officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sarah and Randolph Hopkins of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Mary Hopkins of Kennett Square, Pa., the late Byrd Hopkins of Cincinnati and the late Virginia and Joseph Brown of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of James and the late Tamara Tidwell of Little Rock. His grandparents are Norma Young of Laguna Woods, Calif., the late Albert Young of Big Bear, Calif., and the late Hazel Langston and the late Wallace Tidwell, both of Friendship.

Ceremony music was by organist Steven Shook.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory lace ballgown with an off-the-shoulder bodice and sweetheart neckline. The skirt, with a scalloped lace hem, extended to a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of purple, lavender and white roses, hydrangeas, anemone and sweet peas.

Beth Blackshaw of Little Rock was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kate Neal, Maggie Raglin, Virginia Osborne, cousin of the bride, and Whitney Tidwell, sister of the groom, all of Little Rock; and Sherre Sacher of Orlando, Fla. They wore amethyst-colored gowns by Vera Wang and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Flower girls and ring bearer were Anna Blackshaw, niece of the bride, Kestrel and Orabel Isom, nieces of the groom, and Bryce Blackshaw, nephew of the bride, all of Little Rock.

Best man was Derrick Williamson of Mountain Home. Groomsmen were Philip Clark of Russellville; Adam Isom and Jeremy Lusk, both of Little Rock; Sam Steadman of Stillwater, Okla.; and Teng Yang of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

A reception was held at the Country Club of Little Rock. Guest tables were centered with glass cylinders filled with tropical foliage, lavender anemones, sweet peas, hydrangeas and peonies. On each side of the bandstand were lighted trees. Music was by Memphis Soul Revue.

The bride graduated with bachelor's degrees in zoology, anthropology and environmental science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is a great ape keeper at the Little Rock Zoo.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is an engineer at Dassault Falcon Jet.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Napa Valley, Calif.
