Chefs in the final round of Diamond Chef Arkansas culinary competition had to catch their mystery ingredient on April 18. Rainbow trout were revealed to be the main ingredient and the chefs were given nets to scoop the fish from a large tank. The event was held at the University of Arkansas -- Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute.
Chenal Country Club chef Jordan Davies won the title Diamond Chef Arkansas. His dish included zucchini-crusted trout and goat cheese stuffed zucchini blossoms. Other chefs competing for the title were Amanda Ivy, Brandon Douglas, Jamie McAfee, Izaak Winter and Joseph Coleman.
In addition to watching chefs compete during the evening, guests also enjoyed signature cocktails and food from around the world at culinary stations throughout the institute.
