Police: Little Rock man jailed after shots fired in argument over dog

A Little Rock man was arrested Saturday afternoon on accusations that he shot at a man after an argument over a dog, a report said.

Little Rock police officers arrested Clarence Brown, 36, in the area of 1005 Fair Park Blvd. after a bullet he fired grazed the man's leg, the report said. The two men were fighting over a dog when the victim ran away and Brown reportedly chased him back to his residence while firing his gun, police said.

Witnesses tackled and held Brown until officers arrived and arrested him, police reported.

Brown was being held without bail in the Pulaski County jail as of Saturday evening. He faces a charge of aggravated assault, according to the jail's roster.
