Where I live: Pebble Beach in between Rahling and Hinson roads in Little Rock

Occupation: Founder of Live Thankfully Upscale Resale nonprofit shop at 10200 N. Rodney Parham Road near Breckenridge.

My favorite space: My hammock in my backyard. My hammock was a birthday gift from my family on my 50th birthday. It is from Pawley's Island, S.C. It fits perfectly on my deck so I can look out on my backyard and enjoy a piece of tranquility. It has become a favorite spot for my whole family. If my teenagers get home and can't find me in the house, they know exactly where I am.

Why? Reading a good book in my hammock is the most peaceful thing in my life.

If I could do one thing to improve this space, I would: Build a waterfall with rocks somewhere in my backyard, which is a three-tiered slope full of beautiful flowers and plants. The sound of a waterfall is so peaceful to me. The original owner designed the backyard after Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs. I just love flowers, birds and trees so when I am in my backyard, I feel like I am miles away from all the responsibilities of my life and I can take a deep breath and enjoy this creation all around me.

If I could do a second thing, I would build a covered patio so I could be outside even when it is raining.
