Pup Academy: Family friendly series airs on Disney Channel

Air Bud Entertainment, the creators of the iconic Air Bud golden retriever films and Disney Air Buddies talking puppy adventures, is introducing the new live-action family adventure Pup Academy. The pilot episode premieres at 1 p.m. Monday on Disney Channel, and after the premiere, the series returns with new episodes at 1 p.m. weekdays beginning Sept. 4.

Pup Academy introduces audiences to a cast of talking canines and stars Christian Convery (Descendants 3, Beautiful Boy), Don Lake (Zootopia) and Aria Birch (Freaks). The show revolves around three puppy friends -- Spark, Corazon and Whiz -- who meet in their first year at the academy they attend to become man's best friend. But the students quickly discover a mysterious threat to not only the academy but to the core of friendships between dogs and humans everywhere.

I've seen a couple of trailers and the show looks charming and fun, and a lot like a Harry Potter for dogs.

The series is not produced by Disney Channel so Disney do not promote it on its website.

The setting for Pup Academy, a live-action adventure series airing on Disney, is a school for dogs that teaches them to be good friend to humans. It premieres Monday.
