Fishing hot spots

LAKE CONWAY Crappie fishing has been good with jigs and minnows in Caney and and Gold creeks. Bass are biting crankbaits and minnows. Catfishing has been good using dough baits and/or minnows. Bream are biting worms and crickets.

LAKE MAUMELLE Largemouth bass are biting chatterbaits, crankbaits, jerkbaits, drop-shots and swimbaits in the outer edges of grass lines. White bass are being caught near brush piles at 20-30 feet. Crappie are biting jigs and minnows at 16-20 feet over brush piles.

LAKE HAMILTON Crappie are biting minnows and gigs right now just over the tops of brush piles near the main channel and feeder creeks at 20-35 feet. Walleye and hybrids are in areas with high bass concentrations and are biting white or chrome spoons.
