A 34-year-old man was fatally shot Friday morning after a group of assailants broke into his Little Rock home and demanded cash before killing him, authorities said.

Police responded around 12:30 a.m. to a home in the 7300 block of Fairways Drive after a 911 call reporting an armed, masked intruder inside the residence.

Responding officers found Raymond Grayson Jr. of Little Rock unresponsive inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds, according to a police department statement late Friday morning.

Several people were in the home at the time of the shooting, police said.

Authorities said they believe three people were involved in the burglary and shooting, but the only available description was that they were males and at least one was wearing all black and a mask.

Investigators found signs that the attackers forced their way into the home, police said. The department said it was still reviewing what items were stolen.

No arrests had been made as of late Friday morning.

The reported address of the killing is just south of Western Hills Elementary School property.

The death marks the 10th killing of the year in Little Rock.
