Nettleton blows away West Memphis by 39

JONESBORO -- Elauna Eaton and Mya Love combined for 31 points to lead the Nettleton (21-1, 10-0 5A-East) girls to a 72-33 victory over West Memphis on Friday.

After bolting out to a 25-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Raiders hit West Memphis (12-8, 5-5) with a 16-2 run to end the first half and take a 45-16 lead at halftime.

Nettleton's 2-3 zone press forced six Lady Devils turnovers in the second quarter during the final spurt.

Eaton continued her strong play from the perimeter in the third quarter by making two three-pointers for Nettleton's first six points of the half to give the Lady Raiders a 51-20 cushion.

Nettleton led 58-27 after three quarters.

Eaton led all scorers with 18 points while Love added 13. Teammates Wakiyra Daniels provided 9 points for the Nettleton and Dasia Young added 7.

West Memphis got 17 points from junior point guard Aryah Hazley, while senior forward Kenya Freeman and junior center Tierra Bradley chipped in 6 apiece.
