Highfill man accused of sexually abusing two girls

BENTONVILLE -- A Highfill man was being held Thursday on $100,000 bond in the Benton County Jail after he was arrested in connection with sexually abusing two girls.

Scott Adam West, 31, was arrested Monday in connection with rape and sexual assault. Prosecutors have not filed any formal charges against West.

Highfill police received a report Feb. 8 concerning the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl, according to a probable cause affidavit. Both girls were interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County where they disclosed being inappropriately touched by West, according to the affidavit.

West's arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. March 25 in Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren's courtroom.
