When the announcement went out about Fox's cancellation of the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, there was a good amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth. For those who watched and loved it, the thought of the quirky but beloved characters being put into cold storage was so very sad. But then a miracle happened. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was picked up by NBC and the show's new season debuts at 8 p.m. Thursday.
For those not familiar with the series, it follows the exploits of the 99th precinct's Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his diverse colleagues that include Sgt. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Holt's civilian assistant Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti).
