Boys

Huntsville 79, Harrison 73

The Eagles earned a signature win Friday night, knocking off league-leading Harrison at home in front of a packed Charles Berry Gymnasium.

Huntsville (12-6, 4-0) took over sole possession of first place in the 4A-1 East with the win. Harrison fell to 13-5, 3-1.

Beau Welchel led the way for the Eagles with 18 points. Sean McCone scored 15 points, and Marpin Bokbwij added 12.

Clarksville 56, Heber Springs 55

The Panthers jumped to a 35-24 halftime lead and held on for the 4A-4 Conference win Friday.

Bob Hurley poured in 21 points, and Trace Thomas added 18 for Clarksville (6-12, 3-3), which led 45-41 after three quarters.

Western Grove 57, Norfork 46

The Warriors grabbed a 20-7 lead after a quarter and held on for the 2A-East Conference win Friday.

Luke Lane led Western Grove (21-6, 8-3) with 16 points, while Hunter Baker added 12 and Zack Bolin 11. Tyler Sorters led Norfork with a game-high 19, and Jaden McFall added 10.

Eureka Springs 66, Cotter 35

The Highlanders got double-digit scoring from four players in a blowout win Friday night.

Garrett Cross scored 15 to lead Eureka Springs (21-5, 4-1). Carter Drennon scored 13, Griffin Taylor 11 and Matthew Lester 10.

Tucker Coots scored 11 for Cotter (6-10, 2-3) and Cole Adams 10.

Eureka Springs will host Kingston on Tuesday.

Berryville 64, Shiloh Christian 58

The Bobcats earned a 4A-1 Conference win Friday as four scored in double figures.

Zach Webb scored a game-high 20 points for Berryville. Landon Chester finished with 13, Rayden Peden 11 and Kyler Kendrick 10.

Seth Rosenfeld scored 18 for the Saints and Drew Dudley scored 11.

Lincoln 55, Greenland 47

Sterling Morphis hit five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead Lincoln boys (9-10, 3-4).

Lincoln 13-7 after the first quarter, but Greenland rallied by scoring 14 points in the second.

Daytin Davis had a pair of 3-pointers and tallied 18 points for Lincoln.

Three players scored in double figures for the Pirates led by Carter Gobel with 13. Sage Austin scored 12, and Luke Osborne had 10.

Deer 58, Jasper 42

Caden Young and Johnny Smith combined for 46 points as Deer defeated Jasper and remained unbeaten in 1A-1 Conference play.

Deer (19-7, 6-0) took control of the game early with a 22-6 lead after one quarter. The Antlers then stretched out their lead to a 35-13 halftime margin.

Young scored 17 of his 25 points in the first half, while Smith added 21. Caleb Clark had 10 to lead Jasper (18-9).

Booneville 48, Perryville 27

Nate Riley scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Bearcats to their 16th consecutive win Friday night.

Blakley Cobb added 15 for the Bearcats (17-1, 7-0 3A-4 Conference) and surpassed 1,000 points for his career. Grant Goers added 11. Camryn Lawson also dished out eight assists for Booneville, which only led 20-14 at halftime, but dominated the second half.

Bergman 64, Mountain View 39

Elijah Royce had another double-double performance Friday as Bergman claimed a 3A-1 East Conference victory at Mountain View.

Royce finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead Bergman (22-4, 5-2), which enjoyed a 17-6 lead after one quarter and extended it to 37-17 at halftime. Shelton Welsh added 12 for the Panthers.

Alma 62, Little Rock Christian 57

Taking advantage of perfect shooting from the free-throw line in the game's final 40.9 seconds, Alma held off Little Rock Christian for a victory on the Airedales' home court Friday night.

It was an early-season showdown between the two teams that were undefeated in conference play. With the victory, Alma (12-1, 3-0 5A-West) has the early edge. Little Rock Christian (7-8, 2-1) falls a game behind.

The Airedales led by nine after one quarter, then outscored the Warriors by one in the second quarter for a 32-27 edge at the half.

Alma had a two-point lead going into the final quarter, then had to hold off the Warriors in the end.

Alma's Cejay Mann hit a field goal to pull the Airedales within one. He then made four free throws to put Alma up 56-53. The Warriors narrowed the lead to one when Cortez Finley hit a field goal with 29 seconds left.

Alma put the game away by hitting six consecutive free throws to lead 61-55 with 9.6 seconds left.

Mann led all scorers with 23 points while Bobby Winfrey added 13. Luke Grawer led Little Rock Christian with 21 while Finley chipped in 11.

Charleston 79, Mansfield 56

Charleston outscored host Mansfield 27-15 in the third quarter to turn a three-point halftime lead into an easy 3A-1 West victory.

Brayden Ross led Charleston with 28 points, while Jacob Green poured in 20 and Blaine Rowland chipped in with 18.

Layton Howard scored 20 points to lead Mansfield, and Ethan Stovall added 15.

Jasper 76, St. Joe 29

Jasper took a 23-6 lead after one quarter and cruised to a win over visiting St. Joe in nonconference action Thursday.

Caleb Carter had 19 points to lead Jasper, which extended its lead to 39-9 at halftime.

Girls

Berryville 55, Shiloh Christian 22

The Lady Bobcats kept their record spotless with a 30-plus point win Friday.

Kelcee Hooper scored 13 to lead a balanced attack for Berryville. Lilly Compton scored 12 and Baylea Smith 10.

Anna McCready scored a game-high 14 for Shiloh Christian.

Vilonia 52, Greenwood 46

The Lady Eagles led 18-5 after a quarter but had to hold off a late Lady Bulldog charge to notch the 5A-West Conference win.

Kinley Fisher and Kyiah Julian led Greenwood (9-6, 1-2 5A-West) with 12 points each. Paige Kelley led all scorers with 21 for Vilonia (14-1, 3-0).

Lincoln 51, Greenland 35

Lincoln (15-4, 5-1) assumed second place in the 3A-1 West standings by downing Greenland (11-7, 4-2).

Fiona Wilson scored a game-high 24 points for Greenland, but no other Lady Pirate reached double figures.

Robin Kirk scored 16 for the Lady Wolves, and Kyli Jenkins added 12.

Clarksville 61, Heber Springs 34

Clarksville jumped out to a 19-7 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 4A-4 Conference victory at Heber Springs.

Kyerra Cowell and Emmaline Rieder each had 13 points for the Lady Panthers (17-4, 6-0), who led 34-17 at halftime.

Jasper 56, Deer 14

Jasper claimed a 39-7 halftime lead and went on to earn a 1A-1 Conference win at home against Deer.

Sierra Johnson finished with 22 points for Jasper (19-6, 5-1).

Charleston 59, Mansfield 22

Charleston jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 3A-1 West Conference victory at Mansfield.

The Lady Tigers (17-1, 7-0) led 39-9 at halftime.

Payton Rucker had nine points for Charleston, while Alexis Granderson, Allie Green and Raegan Oldridge each added eight.

Boys

Little Rock Hall 64, Sylvan Hills 46

Behind senior forwards Greg Johnson, Jared Smith and Kevon Cooper, Little Rock Hall took command early in the fourth quarter. Johnson's layup gave Hall (9-5, 2-0 5A-Central) a 47-32 lead with 5:43 left in the game.

Sylvan Hills (11-4, 0-2) closed within 10 points over the following minute, but Hall led 53-41 after Smith hit two free throws with 3:46 left.

Johnson and Smith led Hall with 14 points, and Cooper scored 12. Sylvan Hills was led by sophomore guard Jalen Ricks' 12 points. Freshman forward Jalen Nettles scored 11.

North Little Rock 92, Fort Smith Southside 63

A change of tempo allowed No. 1 North Little Rock to get back on a winning track Friday night.

Coming off Tuesday's loss at Conway, Kylon McCollugh and Collin Moore combined for 53 points and 24 rebounds as North Little Rock trounced Fort Smith Southside.

North Little Rock (14-4, 2-1) failed to shake free from the Mavericks for the game's first 14 minutes but finished the first half by outscoring Southside 11-3. The 'Cats then outscored Southside 23-8 in the first 4:13 of the third quarter for a 65-41 advantage.

McCollugh, a 6-4 senior forward, led North Little Rock with 27 points while claiming 10 rebounds. Moore, also a 6-4 senior, scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Senior Taye Gatewood led Southside with 19 points. Senior Tyrese Soloman added 14 and junior Mykale Franks 11.

Conway 61, Cabot 51

Conway (12-3) improved to 3-0 in the 6A-Central Conference with Friday's victory. The No. 4 Wampus Cats picked up victories this week against the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's overall No. 1 and No. 10 teams, North Little Rock and Cabot, respectively.

Junior guard Caleb London led the Wampus Cats with 15 points. Senior forward Jakilyn Kaiser scored 12 points off the bench.

Cabot (14-2, 2-1) saw its 13-game winning streak end Friday night. It was the Panthers' first loss since a 64-57 setback to Sylvan Hills on Nov. 20.

Cabot was led by junior guard Jackson Muse's 15 points. Junior forward Jacob Hudson finished with 13 points, while junior guard Seth Vance had 12 points.

Bryant 59, Little Rock Central 47

A crucial second-half run allowed the hosts to break open a tight game and slowly pull away to beat the Tigers in 6A-Central Conference play in front of a packed crowd at Hornets Gymnasium.

Junior guard Treylon Payne scored a game-high 20 points for Bryant (11-4, 2-1), which outscored Central 20-11 in the third quarter to build a double-digit cushion that was too much for the Tigers to overcome.

Senior guard Rodney Lambert added 13 points and junior forward Catrell Wallace had 8 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks for the Hornets.

Senior guards A.J. Williams and Rajhon McIntosh each ended with 12 points for Central (10-5, 0-3), which has hit a wall of sorts since winning 10 of its first 12 games of the season.

Jacksonville 88, White Hall 54

Jaden Cope's 18 points led Jacksonville to a 5A-Central victory over White Hall. Christian Moore scored 17 points and Ryan Maxwell added 14 for the Titans, who led 51-38 at halftime. Zavion Jackson led White Hall with 18 points.

Malvern 78, De Queen 45

Malvern scored as many points in the first quarter (28) as visiting De Queen did in the first half of a 4A-7 game. Dakovon Blackmon led Malvern with 32 points, while Logan Schneider had 13, Dallas Lewis added 11 and Aaron Jones chipped in with 10. Weston Harp led De Queen with 17 points, and Davin Burgess poured in 16.

Pulaski Academy 67, Wynne 27

Host Pulaski Academy outscored Wynne 22-6 in the first quarter and 45-15 in the first half to cruise to a 4A-5 victory. Griffin Newby led the Bruins with 12 points, and Grayson Koller added 10.

GIRLS

Batesville 70, Brookland 47

Taylor Griffin scored 35 points as Batesville stayed undefeated in 4A-3 play with its victory against visiting Brookland. Izzy Higginbottom added 14 points for Batesville (16-2, 7-0). Kalisa Ford led Brookland (10-5, 5-2) with 10 points.

Conway 63, Cabot 41

Asiyha Smith scored 20 points as Conway (16-2) improved to 3-0 in the 6A-Central Conference with a rout of Cabot (11-3, 2-1). Myia Yelder finished with 17 points for the Lady Wampus Cats, and Kyja Chatman added 12. Izzy Arnold led the Lady Panthers with 14 points, and Brooklyn Stracener chipped in 10 points. Conway used a 29-8 second quarter to pull away and led 43-17 at halftime. The Lady Wampus Cats entered the fourth quarter with a 49-29 advantage.

Little Rock Central 47, Bryant 45

A 3-pointer from Bryant junior center McKenzie Muse came up short at the buzzer, allowing Little Rock Central to escape with a 6A-Central victory.

Sophomore guard Lauryn Pendleton had 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals for the Lady Tigers, who led by as much as 17 points in the third quarter, but had to survive a frantic fourth-quarter rally by Bryant to win.

Central (6-8, 1-2), which went 15 of 28 from the floor, also got 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals from senior guard Ariyanna Hall.

Junior guard Tierra Trotter scored 26 points for Bryant (11-4, 1-2), which shot 13 of 38 for the game. Junior guard India Atkins scored 9 points, while Muse chipped in with 11 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Nettleton 60, West Memphis 43

Elauna Eaton and Mya Love combined for 37 points to lead Nettleton to a 5A-East victory in West Memphis.

Eaton led all scorers with 22 points, which included three 3-pointers, while Love added 15 as Nettleton (14-1, 3-0) jumped out to a 19-6 lead early and was never threatened. Aryah Hazley led West Memphis (8-5, 1-2) with 15 points, and Ta'Nya Burnett added 13.

North Little Rock 84, Fort Smith Southside 24

Demyla Brown scored 18 of her game-high 20 points in the first half as the Lady Charging Wildcats (8-7, 2-1) crushed the Lady Mavericks (0-13, 0-3) in a 6A-Central Conference game.

Brown scored 9 of her team's first 12 points as the Lady 'Cats started the game on a 12-1 run. Kennady Tucker hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. Kalina Foster came off the bench to score 12. Melanie Rice led Southside with six points and five rebounds.

Watson Chapel 68, Little Rock Parkview 40

Ky'aria Ginger scored a team-high 17 points to lead Watson Chapel to a 5A-Central victory over visiting Little Rock Parkview.

Dekeira Kentle had 16 points, and Tekerra Mayweather added 12 for Watson Chapel, which scored 34 points in each half. Kaylan Larry scored a game-high 22 points in the loss for Little Rock Parkview.
