Pet of the Week

Ginger is our pet of the week. She is a 2-year-old collie/Australian shepherd mix. An officer rescued her and her puppies from a rainstorm late in the night on Halloween. She has been unavailable since then while she nursed her puppies until they were ready for fostering. Ginger is an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Her soft coat, gentle demeanor and beautiful golden eyes make her the perfect fit for snuggling.

Canine Close-Up

Abe has become a volunteer favorite at the Animal Village. He is a 3-year-old black Labrador who is great with other dogs and people. Abe is heartworm-positive, but all veterinary care for Abe will be covered, thanks to the Friends of the Animal Village's Heartworm Fund. This handsome boy needs a home.

Snapple is a 1-year-old, Dutch Shepherd/Labrador mix. He is brindle with a white stripe on his chest, and ears that point up and flop over on the ends. Snapple has come a long way. Once shy and uncertain, he now greets visitors at his door with a tail wag and a smile. He is itching to devote his trust to someone who is looking for a furry companion to keep them company throughout the day.

Featured Felines

Karla is a 3-year-old orange female. Most orange cats are males, which makes Karla rather exotic. She is quiet and a little shy at first, but once she's held, she purrs like crazy and loves to be petted. Karla is waiting in our cat play room for the perfect family.

Madison is a precious, 3-month-old Siamese kitten. Her eyes are as blue as the crisp ocean waters of the Maldives. Her ears and tail are gray, complemented by her soft cream-colored coat. Madison is sure to grow up to be a beautiful cat.

Ginger and friends can be adopted through the Little Rock Animal Village. More information is available at (501) 376-3067.
