PA girls can't handle eStem

Held scoreless for more than three minutes in the third quarter, eStem managed three field goals in the final 3:42 for a 39-35 lead, then held on for a 60-57 victory over Pulaski Academy on Friday at the Arkansas School for the Deaf.

That puts the Lady Mets (16-7, 9-1 4A-5) in the driver's seat with six games left in the conference season. The Lady Bruins (11-7, 7-2) still get another shot at eStem on Feb. 11 on their home court.

The Lady Mets increased the lead to 53-44 with 3:38 left, but it was a three-pointer from Haley Franklin with 1:40 left that put the game out of reach when the lead reached 58-52.

Makayla Miller and Allie Johnson each had 16 points to lead eStem. Haley Franklin added 12 on four three-pointers.

Mattie Hatcher had a game-high 25 points for Pulaski Academy.
