Partygoers circled tables of fresh food made by area chefs with local ingredients and filled their plates June 20 at Farm to Church, a fundraiser for the Green Groceries Program. The event was held at Christ Episcopal Church.
The festivities took place in the church foyer which was decorated with an array of colorful balloons and large paper flowers. Among the farm fresh offerings were cherry tomatoes from Cadron Valley Acres and blueberries from Armstead Mountain Farm. Other tasty treats included hummus from Lost 40 and sweet cornbread bites from The Root Cafe.
The Green Groceries Program partners with Christ Episcopal Church and the Arkansas Local Food Network and provides fresh local food bought from local growers to Little Rock families in need.Gallery: Farm to Church fundraiser
