Arkansas on Wednesday approved a sixth medical cannabis dispensary to open.
Fiddler's Green of Mountain View hopes to open Friday or Saturday, depending on how fast the company can package products, said CEO Lisa Murphy.
"This is our first time doing it, so I just don't know how long it will take," she said.
Additionally, Arkansas Medicinal Source Patient Center of Bentonville has requested state inspectors to conduct a final assessment, which should take place in the coming weeks.
Dispensary licenses were issued in February, and the first retailer opened May 10. State regulators have been inspecting new dispensaries, approving them to open as they finish constructing their storefronts.
In addition to Fiddler's Green, the other dispensaries are:
• Doctor's Orders in Hot Springs.
• Green Springs Medical in Hot Springs.
• Arkansas Natural Products in Clinton.
• Greenlight Dispensary in Helena-West Helena.
• Native Green Wellness Center in Hensley.
Fiddler's Green will be the second dispensary opened in Zone 2 in north Arkansas. The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission divided the state into eight zones with four dispensaries per zone.
Arkansas Medicinal Source Patient Center would be the first to open in Zone 1 in Northwest Arkansas. Zones 4, 6, 7 and 8 remain without dispensaries.
