3 people killed on roads in Arkansas

Three people died Friday in vehicle-related accidents across Arkansas, preliminary crash reports said.

Andrew Lopez, 34, of Rogers died about 12:30 a.m. after he walked onto Fulbright Expressway in Fayetteville and into the path of a Cadillac Escalade, an Arkansas State Police report said.

The driver of the Cadillac was not listed as injured.

At 12:42 p.m., Evelyn Mack, 18, of Topeka, Kan., died after a motorcycle she was riding crashed into an embankment on U.S. 71 South near Texarkana, a crash report said.

The motorcycle's driver, a male youth, was injured in the crash and taken to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport for treatment.

About 4:30 p.m. Friday, Juan Rodas Santizo, 23, of Batesville died in a three-car crash after his vehicle crossed the centerline of Arkansas 69 near Newark and struck another vehicle, a preliminary report said.

A 39-year-old man was injured in that crash and was taken to White River Medical Center in Batesville for treat treatment, the report said.
