Bert Nichols was hired as mortgage adviser at United Federal Credit Union's Promenade branch in Rogers. Nichols has more than 15 years of mortgage banking experience, most recently as mortgage lender at Arvest Bank. He has also worked at Amstar Mortgage and Mortgage USA.

Katie Marie Glenn was hired as outreach manager for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA. She is a marketing professional and has worked for many years in the design/IT field. Glenn recently graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in political science.

Brittany Thompson Little of Today's Bank was appointed to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA board of directors.

Shannon Ortego was appointed to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA board of directors.

Lucinda Jenks was hired by Grand Savings Bank as senior vice president and Siloam Springs team leader. She earned a bachelor's degree in business and accounting from Northeastern State University. She began her banking career in 1995 and is a past president of the NWA Mortgage Bankers Association.

DJ Hurlocker was named creative director for The Richland Group, a digital marketing and design company in Fayetteville. He has more than 10 years of graphic design experience, most recently at Mascot Media. Hurlocker graduated from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith with an associate of science graphic design degree.

Anji Peacock, principal and president of Big Deal Marketing Inc., was named a director of the Benton County Fair Board. She graduated from John Brown University with a bachelor's degree in business/organizational management. She has held leadership roles in banking and the insurance industry.

Charles Coffelt was named a director of the Benton County Fair Board. He received a bachelor's degree in agriculture education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Coffelt worked at Walmart for 22 years and recently became manager at Heritage Tractor in Anderson, Mo.

Chris Cole, a Benton County Fair Board director, will serve as the group's vice president. He has worked in banking, insurance, equipment distribution and multiple livestock show advisory and management positions.

Dr. Charles "Chuck" Smith, board certified family medicine physician, recently joined Northwest Health, practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza - Pinnacle in Rogers. He was medical director of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences' Neighborhood Clinic at Rahling Road in Little Rock and an assistant professor in the College of Medicine's Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Smith graduated from UAMS in 1982 and completed his residency in family medicine at UAMS - AHEC in Fort Smith. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He is also a member of the Arkansas Medical Society and the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. George Tanaka, a glaucoma sub-specialist, joined Vold Vision. He has more than 20 years experience and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Tanaka earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Princeton University before graduating from Harvard Medical School. He did an internship at Harvard Medical School Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. and completed his fellowship training in glaucoma at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and is an associate examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
